1 Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Oslango ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By visiting our website (https://oslango.com), installing our browser extensions, or using any associated services, software, APIs, or mobile applications, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to all terms and conditions herein, you must immediately discontinue use of the platform.

2 Account Registration & Third-Party Authentication

To access the core features of Oslango, you must create a user account. You may register directly using your email address or authenticate through approved third-party identity providers, including Facebook Login (Meta), Google Sign-In, or Apple ID:

• Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete account details.
• Third-Party Compliance: When utilizing Facebook Login or Google Sign-In, you agree to comply with their respective platform terms and acknowledge that your access may be revoked if you violate those policies.
• Account Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
• Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 where required by local law) to register.

3 Intellectual Property Rights & License

All rights, titles, and interests in and to the Oslango platform—including software, UI designs, logos, algorithms (such as the FSRS spaced repetition integration, speech scoring pipelines, and Grammar Mind Map engine), documentation, and educational materials—are the exclusive property of Oslango and its licensors.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Oslango strictly for personal, non-commercial language learning purposes in accordance with these Terms.

4 User Voice Content & Pronunciation Submissions

During interactive speech practice (such as Deep Word, Shadowing, and Speaking modules), you may record your voice. You retain full ownership of your voice recordings.

By submitting voice recordings, you grant Oslango a limited, royalty-free license to transmit, process, and analyze your audio solely for generating phoneme assessments, accuracy scores, and educational feedback. We do not use your voice recordings for advertising or unauthorized commercial purposes.

5 Acceptable Use Policy & Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

• Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract source code from any portion of the platform.
• Using automated scrapers, bots, or crawlers to access, extract, or mirror platform content without written authorization.
• Submitting offensive, harassing, abusive, or unlawful audio or textual content.
• Interfering with or disrupting the integrity, performance, or security of our edge infrastructure and API gateways.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Oslango does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that speech assessment feedback will achieve specific academic exam scores. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Oslango shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the platform.

8 Account Termination & Data Deletion

You may terminate your account at any time through your in-app account settings or by submitting a data deletion request as detailed in our Data Deletion Instructions.

Oslango reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms or engage in fraudulent or harmful behavior.

9 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without giving effect to any conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, or submitted to the competent courts of jurisdiction.
